A home for the first chapter
ExBeen is taking shape in Uyo, Nigeria. We’re building a media company around the stories people carry after a relationship, and the people they are becoming along the way.
The inspiration is a familiar gap: there is plenty of room to talk about what an ex did, and less room to talk honestly about what we learned about ourselves. We want to make that second conversation feel worth having.
First, the podcast
Our planned launch is January 2027. We’re beginning with a podcast that explores anonymous relationship stories through thoughtful conversation. Before any story goes out, care, consent and identifying details need attention.
Starting with a podcast lets us focus on the work that matters first: listening well, telling stories responsibly and earning a place in someone’s day. Our first season is in development; there are no episodes available yet.
There’s room to help shape it
We’re inviting people who believe in the idea to stay close to the launch. We’re also making room for volunteers with skills in editorial, audio, video, design and community work.
You don’t have to arrive with every answer. Curiosity, care and a willingness to do good work are a meaningful beginning. ExBeen is about where we’ve been. It is also about what we choose to build from here.
Be part of the first chapter.
